Fairfield Hardwood Floors

For this month-long project, FD craftsmen removed old flooring and replaced it with rustic, wholly-custom, hickory hardwood floors. Experts in sand on site customization, our team laid the raw hickory throughout downstairs and upstairs spaces, then sanded, stained and finished the wood on site. The homeowners were consulted at every stage – to ensure their vision was met.

Stairs were custom milled in the FD shop and feature curved nosing and a smooth-as-silk finish on the tread. To complete the look, the floor vents were custom designed and crafted by hand in our shop, using the same hickory as was used for the flooring. The vents were then flesh mounted and cut into the floor perfectly. A true work of art.

All woods were finished with a custom color recipe that blended seamlessly with the home’s color scheme and overall feel.
