QUARTZ

By far, the most popular countertop material today is quartz due to its combination of beauty and easy maintenance.
Quartz comes in a wide array of colors, from soft earth tones to bright crimson. Quartz is one of the hardest surfaces on earth. It is non-porous, scratch resistant, and it inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.

SOAPSTONE

Soapstone is usually dark greenish-black, although lighter green-gray slabs are also common. If desired, soapstone can be fabricated into sinks to match your countertop. Because soapstone is porous, it must be sealed with mineral oil to reduce staining.

PORCELAIN

Long popular in Europe, porcelain countertops are continuing to gain a following in the U.S. Porcelain slabs provide a wonderful opportunity to add color and style to various rooms of your home due to its wide variety of colors, designs, and patterns. While stone countertops always run the risk of staining, porcelain tile is virtually impervious – water or other liquid will simply bead up on top of the tile, allowing you to
simply wipe it down.
